About Us
Billabong High International School, Thane (BHIS, Thane) is a co-educational school. It was established in 2006 by the Goenka Global Education, under the aegis of the Citizens Welfare Association (CWA).
In times when education is not just studying from the confines of a book, international schools have come up with raised standards of teaching. Not all learning happens within four walls, they say. This school in Thane is one of the best in its vicinity, known for its “learning with a difference” approach.

Student Teacher Ratio
Class size matters as it impacts students learning while teachers can get to know each student as an individual. To ensure personal attention our primary and secondary section class size is 30 students on an average. The Pre-primary section has two teachers in each class as our little masters deserved more attention.
Teaching Staff
Our teachers are well qualified and expert in their subject. They are active learners themselves, who demonstrate enthusiasm for their subject and upgrade themselves to meet the challenges of the ever-evolving digital training methods. As a part of our `Learning for Life’ philosophy, we enhance our teachers’ capabilities through a continuous skill up-gradation programme. They participate in workshops and seminars in other institutions to get wider exposure. Some of our teachers are not only examiners but also resource people for the board-level.

At Kangaroo Kids International Preschool we provide quality education in a safe, stress-free and supportive environment. We facilitate experiential active learning, rather than rote memorization.
ICSE
The primary section follows the ICSE primary curriculum designed by the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE). The study material and curriculum is provided by KKEL
IGCSE
BHIS offers the Cambridge Primary, Checkpoint and IGCSE programmes. The methodology equips students the skills they need for life, helping them achieve at school
ISC
We offer Science, Commerce and Humanities streams for Grade XI & XII. Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) happens through tests every Monday and Wednesday. The entire schedule is

We offer IB Diploma Programme for students in the age group of 16 years to 19 years. The Programme serving students in 11th through 12th standard, It is a two-year curriculum.
